HPC Tiger Shark

Postby minifhncc » 28 Aug 2012 8:35

Hi all,

Has anyone used the HPC Tiger Shark? A search on this forum doesn't return any results for it (was it only newly released?)...

I was going to get the CodeMax, but it can't do Tubular keys and apparently the Tiger Shark can with an adapter.

In any case, does anyone have any experience with it?

Thanks

Doesn't anyone know about the Tiger SHARK? It mustn't be a popular machine then...

I'd love to help but I don't have one, and with a price tag of over $5,000 I doubt it's one of the more common machines out there.
While we do have some locksmiths here on the forum, the majority of the registered users on this website are hobbyists.

I don't know how long it's been around.
Looking over the HPC website it seems they made a revision to the machine in 2011 so it looks like it's been around at least a couple of years.
I suspect they wouldn't mind telling you how long it's been on the market if you phoned them.

Thanks for your reply. I'm just a bit puzzled because there seems to be quite a lot of (positive) feedback about the CodeMax here, but literally nothing about the Tiger SHARK.

And I believe it was released around 2009.

Does anyone know if the Tiger SHARK was the successor to the Blue SHARK? Because, I think there is one post here suggesting that the Blue SHARK was no good...

Bump...

I didn't imagine the HPC Tiger SHARK to be this unpopular, given that the CodeMax, which is of similar price ($1000 cheaper, if I am correct), is discussed here.

So what is it about the SHARK that makes people totally avoid it?

Because sharks are scary?

Lol... but are you getting my point? If the CodeMax is popular (on here) and it's like $1000 cheaper than the SHARK then why is it that SHARK is literally never discussed?
