I am assuming you are talking about the Southord slimline (Euro) picks. In short, I really like them. They give you more room to work in restricted keyways and on small locks. This greatly expands the range of locks you can work on.
I don't think you should use enough force in lock picking to ever break a pick and since I don't stab myself with my picks on a regular basis (in fact, never) I haven't been cut by one. I do insist on getting metal 'handles' on the Southords, however, since I do find the thinner handles are (literally) a pain.
Even if you like the regular size Southords, I would still have a Euro diamond or hook in my collection just for the small/restricted keyway stuff.
