I saw on a website that there is number assosiate to the depth of the pins in a blank key. Do this depth mesures are a standard or it could change from each lock?

Do you always waste your time to make people feel unease?

I'm learning impressioning and I'm not really sure of the use of this measure. I also wanted to have tips on how to do a master key of the master combo padlock.

Sorry to not be a native American so i'm not really effective in my questiom syntax and I don't want to see this topic turn into a blasting one. My real question was, How can I use this measures of depth in the concrete situation of impressioning a key?

sorry didnt mean to sound so harsh.

all the cuts will be one of the ROOT depths for the lock listed on the chart in the link.

you measure from the bottom of the key.

Ok, I understand for the root depth, but what is the use of the bottom pins, master pins and drivers measurment? (What do they represent?)

bottom pin is the size of the bottom pin you use to key the given code.

so if you take a part a lock and measure the bottom pins this tells you what key code they are for.
