How do I reset this lock combo?

Postby Emrys » 14 Aug 2013 20:09

I'm having trouble with one of my locks. I need to change the combo on it but I can't seem to remember how. On first impressions, it's very similar to a Master 175, but there is no keyhole on the side to change the combo. There is no print or engraving anywhere on the lock; it seems to be some off brand replica. If you look at the number dials, there is a tapered edge on both sides of the dial face. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with changing the combo.

If anyone can shed some light on this lock, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

Rob

There's a lot on you tube about them.

Thanks Altashot. That site had some very useful info. Using the suggestions on the site, I attempted to change the lock combo. Unfortunately, I happened to get the 3rd wheel jammed somehow :x

The lock was meant to service the new office I'm working in right now. Luckily, I managed to figure out how to reset the combo on the old Kaba Simplex 900 combo lock that had been originally installed on the door :D Despite the implied name of the lock series....I didn't find it so "simple".
