Striation marks

Postby lokpikr999 » 2 Mar 2014 16:23

I've noticed that the bevels on many duplicate keys have step-like striation marks on them. What is the cause of this?Is it the result of a malformed cutter wheel?

Worn key cutters or cutting too quickly can cause that.

Alex.

My Ilco 024 (pre model A or B machine) uses a cutter that makes these marks, my other machines don't do this, but they all have different cutter blades.
