I recently had to force the ignition key lock cylinder on my sister's Plymouth Neon so she could get her key and the cylinder out, and then figure out what to do next. She had just started school, so this was a big problem. I'm on SSI Disability, she is unemployed and we both have to live together. Both of us are also mentally ill and really broke most of the time.
I really enjoy helping people out, especially the other tenants in the apartment complex we live in, a complex for the mentally ill.
I recently found out about locksporting and it has definitely peaked my interest....but I can't afford to go buy any picking tools, we have to save as much money as possible. I am however good with my hands and mechanically inclined.
I believe this sport wil be able to teach me things like patience and focus; while giving me a skill that is also very useful and helpful to myself and others(occasionally someone locks themselves out of their apartment, and most of the tenants here are happy for the help I give them).
What I need is as much information as I can get on making my own tools for the sport(more specifically a template for the various picks and tools and/or their dimensions), but I don't know where to best site would be for that. I only have my smart phone to use and data is pricey. If any of you guys out there can help, it would be greatly appreciated.
