1 juicy question and 3 normal ones

1 how to get more feedback out of an unwilling lock and how to not over set
2 how to not get distracted by locks you haven't picked big problem for me
3 and can you pick any lock with an slimline kit or Is my feeling that the picks bend a little bit more and that the tension tools aren't adept to bigger locks actually right
4 what lube to use *stares at you over the peak of glasses* and will I get more feedback (pleas don't post anything you can't find outside the U.S.)
picking your nose and picking a lock are 2 extremely different things only thing they got in common is the satisfaction :P

4. Lubricant is a matter of choice, but my personal favorite is Houdini. I use it on everything I pick: That way when a lock falls open, as if by magic, I can shrug to the astonished customer and state "Well, it does say Houdini on the can..."

3. Likely a slimline/euro kit may be a bit difficult on some ~.5" plug locks, but can be made to work.

2. Elaborate. Do you mean a lock you are in process of learning to pick, but have not yet defeated?

1. Build yourself a tension wrench with a very long handle (4 inches or so), and tension with the tip of one finger. The feedback will be pronounced, and it will be more difficult to over tension.

Question: do any of y'all use a different lubricant for hinges than you do for the locks themselves? Please let me know of all considerations.

3) I started out with the SouthOrd Euro pick set (0.15, I believe). It definitely works on larger locks, but the flex in the picks dampens the feedback to a large degree, and they're prone to bending, as the pick is allowed to flex side-to-side within the keyway. To that end, I suppose the answer is 'yes, they work, but aren't generally the best choice.'

2) I have a couple old locks that laugh at me every time I try to crack them. I have gotten through them in the past, but I haven't been able to pick either in quite some time. I try to just be patient and focus on the pins. I try to avoid thinking "just open already!" and move one pin at a time being very intentional with the movements. I look at it as more of a learning exercise than picking open a lock. They are distracting though, I know the feeling.

Yes get just what i mean nickhooker i find it highly annoying as it is an lock I can sometimes get open in an matter of seconds with an racke or single picking and when I try to single pick it the day after it gives me the finger even do I have now picked while drunk sleepy in an rave (locked my bag with it and the key[jägermeister have that effect on you] which I managed after some time swearing and resting it).
Robotnik were should I get standard single picks then
And Mrs. Chris I am going to look for that while shopping for picks. My friend recommend an lube that can help you open other stuff up ;) but I don't want to clog up lock with eh normal lube so is it possible to use :?:

And I am generally impressing an girl I like with picking locks going to use the frase
Well now I don't need keys to your heart one day when I feel ready

Wasn't click bait (got an friend that host one that if you click it while using an outdated browser you are going to get anal raped) just to get attention to my questions which actually seems unnecessary :D I really really like this bdd/forum/community (and if you already have been active on other forums where I am a member as have been switching around handles lately you ight not recognize the handle but will know who I am from the fact that my topics tend to have some type of almost sexuall reference. Like reversing 69. Which was an post on what that is normally going on at that port) anyway stay awesome all of you btw i ate lunch with the girl I was talking about she seems really interested in locks so stay tuned and you will maybe get an update on that later on

If you're finding that your picks are bending , release some tension as you are binding pins.
.25 thousandths picks for standard locks are best I find. I also sand mine and polish them, as I receive better feed back from my picks. Final polishing brings the picks around 18 to 22 thousandths. If you pick a variety of locks, yet keep a select few, then at the end of the day you try to pick one that should be easygoing. .. yet you find yourself unable, take a breather.
it could beasily fatigue, of muscle memory you are fighting. I have my own favorite ones as well.
I can pick some of then 20 times in a minute, then all of a sudden, can not for the next three minutes. I find if I take a break. Then go on to a different one, then go back, no worries.
Hope this helps?
