schlage entry lock.

Anybody near 01701 want to unlock a schlage entry lock?

I have re-pinned a few dozen locks, but as now only ones that already have a key.

If nobody takes me up on this I will have to purchase some tools and start doing more than watching bosnianbill on youtube (he has some great video's).

Sorry, Im on the other side of the country or I would love to open it... My LS buddy gives me all the locks he gets with no keys so I can pick them or impression them...

Get some picks and go for it... you will love the feeling when that lock pops open :D

I do look forward to giving it a shot. If I break it, it's not a lock that anybody is using and it's cheaper to replace then the pick set that I will purchase to open it up with.

If I can get it open it should be easy enough to repin. Impressioning is a few levels beyond where I need to be.

Your not too far from me. I go between 01835 and 03060. I do have a friend who works in 01701 that could ferry it over.

So even though the pickset will cost more (not much more) than replacing the lock, the knowledge and experience you would have gained will be invaluable. So even though I could probably do it for you, I still think you should get some picks.

I will pickup a set, I am thinking of a Peterson GSP EAGLES NEST PICK SET as my starter set, if this isn't a good starter set I am all ears.

I have ordered a cutaway SC4 type lock off Ebay to learn with. I will drop it down to one pin and build up from that point. If I don't get this figured out before it snows again I will drop you a PM as I pass by Haverhill often enough (I like Krueger Flatbread pizza).
