Kgb set

Morning to all of you!

Just had a quick question. I've been picking for six months now, and am so tired of carrying my pocket. I need a more portable way, since I find myself needing them at school when my backpack or locker are unavailable. I was going to buy a kgb concealed set for my wallet. The kit comes with a Bogota (yay!), an s rake, a ball, a hook, and obviously a diamond. My question is, should I substitute the broken key extractor for something? And should I replace the ball with a half ball?

Thank you for your time, Jacob
God bless!!!

Follow up question: Is the European hollow diamond maybe a good substitute for the key extractor? It's essentially a Bogota diamond.
God bless!!!

I guess I would put it this way: I own lockpicks, and I own guns. Each, depending on circumstance, can be either a useful tool or an unnecessary addition that escalated a bad situation. Depending on who you are and what you're doing, carrying each can be legal or illegal. Even when used legally, pulling either out too often can bring you trouble long-term.

If you're unexpectedly finding locks that need picking so often that you constantly need a set of picks by your side, you either lead a way more exciting life than I do, or you may want to be a bit more judicious about when, where, on what, and to whom you're demonstrating your skills.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to dog you. All this is meant to be constructive; just trying to save you some grief. As to your question, it depends. Everyone picks differently, and favors different picks. Go with what you use or could see yourself using, and when in doubt, experiment.

Thanks for that advice! The only reason I'm ever picking is that at school I help with tech theatre. We have closets, ladders, cubbies... And rarely do we remember the keys. The instructor knows I can help, and he loses keys on a daily basis so I'm his first goto. And of course I'd never advertise my set, that's a recipe for awkward questions (like " can you help me break into xyz?" "Still no!")

Thanks for your help! Great advice!
God bless!!!

You better check the legality about what you do.
