Bogota Pi Set Tension Wrench

Postby bartonjd » 30 Aug 2015 19:38

The Bogota Pi set comes with a flat tension wrench that I can only assume should be used for top of keyway picking, but the wrench at either end goes too far into the keyway and covers the first pin. If used at the bottom there is not enough room to operate. I am obviously still learning so these assumptions might be incorrect. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You can use the short end at the top of they keyway, just put it in part way so that it doesn't touch the first pin. This is more difficult when 'raking' but usually works with some practice.

What kind of lock are you working with? That flat tension wrench is fine for almost anything except for very small padlocks.

It is the 141D. I picked it up at Lowes but the space between the first pin and keyway opening is quite narrow
