Are these picks Bogota? For raking and zipping?

Postby pillar » 27 Sep 2015 14:53

Hi,

I am practising SPP but want to get into other techniques too (rocking, zipping, raking...)
I have these Picks:

Are they Bogota?
I have seen Bogota picks but they were kind of rounded for not binding up when raking.
Then I have seen Picks specially for rocking and not raking.

Can I use the picks on the pic for raking and zipping?

The picks obviously have two sides.
What is the upper side of the bottom pick for?

They don't look like bogatas to me, they look more like different versions of a W-rake. They aren't meant to be used upside down. I suppose they would work for raking, but I always liked C-rakes more. I've never had a lot of luck raking though.

Hi,

the first one is a Jagged Rake (Can't say if it's a C or L though).

Not sure about the others, but then there's so many!

Bogota look like this :
