polish tension wrench?

A lot of people are polishing picks.

Is there a benefit if you polish the tension wrench?

Nope. The tension wrench needs to grip the keyway, so polishing it would make it slip out of place easily. So leave its working end as it is.
You may want to file smooth and sand down the part that you put your finger on though.

Cheers :)

Gonna be honest, I was all excited to see photos of an exotic Eastern bloc turning tool.

Considering it's 'polish' and not 'Polish,' I agree with femurat. Not much to be gained polishing the business end of a tension tool.

Sometimes I do the opposite of polishing the end of my tension wrenches.
To help make sure they don't slip I might rough up the flat surface a little bit with a file.
Or get some angled wire cutters and gently crimp them into the thin sides of the end so it dimples in a little bit like a serration.

I always thought a polish tension wrench was a 4 foot crowbar. ;-)

LMAO. I too thought this was a kick at Squelchtone and myself!
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!
