It is a 'composite' keyway that fits all of schlages key sections, from 'c-k' it is a bit wider than the regular 'C' keyway, and will allow many more of schlages key sections to enter this same cylinder
It's also referred to as "P" keyway. Can come in handy if you need to replace a plug to match an existing key and you don't have that particular one. This one fits all key profiles.
Silly question of me. But would the schlage sc20 (multiplex) key blank be something of a match of the "p" plug side of the key and keyway equation for schlage

Not sure what you are asking. The L key blank is basically a really thin blank that will enter multiple different Schlage keyways. The C-K plug is extra wide to allow sections C-K to enter. L of course will also enter. In actual practice it is best not to use the C-K in a large complex master key system. Conversely that is the main legit reason the L blank came about.
Really! A multiplex plug. "P" series you say? Would you happen to know where I could them for purchase? Just out of curiosity. And here I thought I knew all about schlage.
