do you have new keys for it? are you familiar with the depths and angles?

there should be a Medeco Service Binder pdf file around here somewhere. here you go:
http://nynex.mysite.com/TOOOL-US-Boston/PDFs/Medeco/MEDECO-Binder-1.pdf

do you have the pin kits with new pins? are you master pinning as well?

Are you a hobbyist or locksmith and have you repinned a regular Schlage or Kwikset lock before or is this the first lock ever you will be repinning?

do you have a plug follower and some tweezers?

Maybe introduce yourself a little and tell us what project you are working on.

Thanks

I posted a link to the service manual, that should get you started. There should be some Medeco videos on youtube, so search there. I dont think there is an exact video of how to repin a medeco, most learn by doing it I suppose. Take one apart to see how they tick, and then the pins are just 1 thru 6 and you have KBQ and MDS fore and aft angles, it's all in the service manual.

Grab a medeco cylinder and working key, and see how the key cuts interact with the pins by taking the plug out and inserting the key with the key pins still in the plug. Now insert a different key and see how the pins line up the shear line and angles.

Buy one of these to help you decode depths and angles on unknown keys and to help sort pins that are mixed up in the pin kit

good luck and try some stuff on your own, don't just wait for the answers to come your way from us, we're just amateur hobbyists.
