Practice Lock Question

Are those clear plastic practice locks worth working with or would I be better off just using "real" padlocks (Abus, Master, American, etc) for my entry/beginner level practice?

The plastic locks are informative for a newby & we are all noobs at some point, after that work your way up to house locks & padlocks

I certainly wouldn't spend much on a plastic lock but I have one laying around that I got as part of a package deal--I haven't bothered picking it tho

It helps to learn how a lock works and how it feels when you set a pin. It's also good to learn where the pins are. But after you get those down you should be able to do it without looking. Once you get to that point move onto what many suggest, a masterlock 3 padlock. You will find it feels a little bit different. But the skills you picked up with the practice lock are the same you will use with this.

You are going to find that real locks are much harder. Because they aren't clear, and they seem to feel more "gritty" to me.
