Hello, I have lost the key to my sentry 1100 safe. I have seen there are some posts on the site with info on picking them. However, as the search engine seems to be down I cannot access all of the posts. Can anyone give me simple instructions on picking the lock? Thanks

Safes are considered advanced material, no matter the type of locking mechanism it has on it.
Please do not discuss anything about safes on this site.
Thanks,

OP- Suggest you go to the Sentry website and order a replacement key using the numbers on your safe.

The sentry 1100 is not a safe, it is a fireproof document box. You can open the lock as you would open any simple [edit]. Lets try and apply a modicum of common sense to our definitions, no?

By definition nothing is fireproof.

.. We don't need to start arguing about a "strong box" or "firebox" or "document fire box"
for this application- it is considered a safe, even if the lock is not high security.
End of discussion.
