Hi there! I needed to know-I'm canadian, and I can't find anywhere in this area that sells lock picks-I really want to start it as a hobby, but I would like some help on where I can go (in Canada, and not on the internet) to get good lock picks for not too much money-thank you!

Hi Dustin.
Unfortunately, you will not likely find a "brick and mortar" store to buy decent picks at a fair price. You can sometimes find them in the "Spy Shop" type places, but they will be way overpriced.
I'm afraid if you want picks, you really only have two decent options. You can either make them, or buy them online. If you want to make them, I suggest you look up the video on pick making by pyro. If you want to buy them, I would suggest this site's sponsor lockpickshop.com. They offer a 10% discount to members here.
Hope this helps! Happy picking!

what i would do, and this is just me, is i would first get my license and then order my picks off of the internet.
And if i were u i would get a basic southord pick set
I am waiting for someone who will never come.

You don't need any acreditations at all to own picks in most of Canada. I know Alberta is a tough one, and if memory serves, BC is another. Other than that, I don't know of any province where a license is issued.

Licenses are required in the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan.
Of the three, I am not aware of any of them enforcing the regulations anyway.
Just order them, or make them and keep them at home. Don't go walking around with them, just use them at home unless its an emergency. In which case, a good swift kick is your best bet. Especially when lives are on the line.
So, since that isn't likely, just keep them at home and enjoy.
