do you install your deadbolts into a piece of wood? if so, do you have to drill a whole for the deadbolt or do you just use the lock without it?

If youve got the deadbolt you may as well put it in as it may make the lock act differantly when being picked (stiffer etc) if not it doesnt matter if you use it or not if only practiceing.
