help me now i cant pick this no.3 master lock

im usin a spring steel tension and a grinded nail and a paper clip as a pick hellp im doin it right and its brand new and it wont work god

so what? you're using a tension wrench AND a nail AND a paper clip?

Have you read the MIT guide?
Have you read all the FAQ's on this site?
Have you ever picked a lock before or is this your first?
Can you re-explain what tools you're using?

patience is the key.

paper clips aren't that great either.... they bend too easily, this could be part of your problem.

It seems a bit weird someone who is lockpicking for a hobby would want to open a lock really quick when you should be patient, besides the easiest way to open it would be the KEY

icky, you should make an effort to get better picks, yours sound like the wrong stuff, you can make your own, look for sweeper bristles in the street or get some windshieldwiper blades, and find the ss stiffeners, these would grind into better picks and you should also sand down any picks you grind, the roughness of grinding is not helpful in picking. we had a daedalus on here a while back, is that yer dad?

this is my first lock im using a grinded nail as a tension wrench
i cant find street cleaner bristles because a street sweeper never comes down my street!!

i have read the guides and it just doesnyt work for me i dont know why i se the right methods aand it just wont work!!!

You shouldnt be so negative and you cant just expect to pick up and pick and tension wrench and pop! it opens, you need time to practice and learn, read all you can, and if you dont understand something i have 3 good tools for you 1. Google 2. Search this site 3. if you still cant work it out there are plenty of people that will help you just make sure you search first and i dont mean look at 1 page in the search results try sift through them to find what you want, So just keep at it and you will get there.

icarus, I have to agree with raimundo on this one. You need better tools. If you can't buy picks online, I would suggest making some decent ones with other materials you have access to. Hacksaw blades can be grinded into nice picks.
