question on warded picks

Postby MeRZHiN » 16 Jun 2005 9:18

i found a warded padlock pick set on lockpickshop.com
http://www.lockpickshop.com/p-WP-10.html
and i'm wondering or they can also be used on normal warded door locks? since i never saw a pickset for normal warded locks.
and now i'm at it, i might also ask a question that you guys prolly heard LOTS of times before. is this set i'm thinking of buying a little decend for a beginner?

THX in advance :)

I'd respond but I'm too distracted by your sig block... :o

Warded locks are too simple to pick. Ones that you see on doors are likely to be lever locks. If I were you I'd concern myself with pin tumblers at this point.

Peterson Picks will sell you all the picks you need for about 25$ Go to thier website and look at the "just picks" portion. Southord sells a lot of redundant picks and expensive, albiet sexy, leather cases.

no the picks for warded padlocks will not do door locks. check out http://www.lockpicking101.com/viewtopic.php?t=7620 for door locks, there is info on types of picks to make and buy there as well. if you're handy at making things there's plenty info on making a set of padlock picks on the site somewhere.
