Beginner - Tools/Tips needed

Postby Badmonkey005 » 18 Jun 2005 18:55

Hello, I have been reading up from resources on your forum on lockpicking and have become absolutley fasinated with the whole genere. I would like to try lockpicking myself, and I have gatherd enough information to be confident in what I am doing. However, as a beginner, I would like a professional opinion on what kind of set exactly I should get. Preferably from the lockpickshop.com website which has been refered by you guys, or a website which takes paypal and ships in the United States.

Also, I saw a while ago, a lock that was clear and had a little stand, so beginners could see exactly what was happening as they were trying to pick the lock. I also saw in a thread in this forum, someone mentioning the number of tumblers they were up to (I was not sure if he was referring to just different locks, or a trainer lock where you can add/remove tumblers).

If these questions have been answerd I am sorry, there is so much content in your website that it has activley entertained me for the last two hours

Thank you for your support.

You need to look at the Stickies & FAQ's.

Start with the FAQ's & general information section.

Go to the shop link at the top of the page.
Enter "practice lock" in the search box.

P.S.
There's also a coupon code to get LP101 members a discount...I won't post what it is, you'll have to 'earn' it by searching.

Oh, and Welcome.

When you search, check "search for all terms" instead of the default. There is a tremendous amount of info here. I suggest you look at it like golf, or any other sport, you can gain so much through coaches and support -which we are glad to give- but what you will have to do is practice, practice, practice.

Happy picking 8)

Oh, and thanks :D

Usually my policy on forums is, when I recieve help from one, I stay, become a memeber, a regular, and repay my debt by helping others in that forum. So expect to see me around more :D

I hope to learn a lot from you guys, it looks like I have a long trip ahead of me.
