I would want those sets in my arsenal just for times when you come across locks like that. I would also suggest a set similar to the one pictured in the "Links" link at the top of the page, underneath the word "Unlock"

hi mate what type of mortice locks are you tying to pick. thoses sets are okish but it all depends on the type of lock is it 2, 3, 5 lever, warded, bs rated if you can give us alittle more info them we can help more.

ok here goes this is the stuff i can talk about that not in the advanced section.
a 2 lever lock can be easyly opened with two L shaped wires one to tension the bolt the other to lift the levers to the gate.
a 3 lever the same
a 5 lever without a barrel and curtain (if you look in to the keyway and see a silver or brass thing ) same as 2 3 lever but these lock may have anti pick notches.
if it has a curtain it may be possible with two wires but easier with a curtain pick likc this

The tools you have posted are available from: Multipick & Locksmith-tools. Other locksmith suppliers are Sks, Keyprint, Rbmedical, Johnrichard etc. All of which have 2 + 3 lever try out keys, Curtain wheel picks, Wires etc.

The pictures you have shown are for 2 or 3 lever locks and are sort of like a try out key, yes if you want to be a lockie you will probably use them now and again,

Where in the country are you?

Read the threads on starting up a locksmith business, you should get a lot of info and things should be clearer to you, if you want to move into being a lockie and expect to do it quickly then you are mistaken, apart from the £15 - £30k you will spend setting up you will need a long time for practiceing and you probably shouldnt expect an income for the first 3 years.

Make your own wire picks from piano wire, a lot cheaper too.
