[SUPRA C]

Postby emm » 21 Oct 2005 14:43

Hi,

I have the following problem: I have a Supra C mounted on the front door of the house I recently bought. The previous inhabitants dont seem to have put it there, so I am confronted with a doesntlooksoniceonmydoor dilemma.

Does anyone know the best way to get rid of it? Brute force would be ok too..but where do I cut?

Model: Supra C, approx 5"x3"x1.5", Circular Letter selector (Alphabet) (front), Black push button (front). Manuf. Date: long time ago, seems to be from the 80s at least.

Thanks for any tips. In return I can post some pics of the beast after I disect it.

you dont say, and the picture isnt clear , wether this is a key lock that hangs from your door knob or wether its a seperate key box on its own.. or even wether its actually the door lock itself. the only info i've found on these are of key boxes. Supra I believe are now storakey. try www.storakey.co.uk. u may see a later model with similar design to yours and if so may be able to see its fixing points if it is indeed a key box.

Thanks laddies,

I got it opened up. The instructions were to drill {edit} Pretty bad metal: the drill went through like butter.

{db edit: Discussion of drill points reserved for advanced forums. Photo removed. Glad you got into it tho. :) }

I've got a Storakey Slimline near my front door. :) The brand name is still Supra though.

Yes..Indeed I did find something inside. The Key to the old front door lock of the house I own. It seems that I am the third or fourth owner of the house, and even the last owners didn't know the combination to the keysafe. A lot of real estate agents use those keysafes and then they just leave them there.

Apart from that there were two midgets and a half digested Mars bar inside!! :shock:
