VW Jetta Key

Hey

I just have a question regarding what type of key is used with the Volkswagen Jetta. Its really kinda weird looking....

I dont think it a dimple lock , but im not 100% sure. It has one groove in the center of the key, and this groove kind goes up and down rather randomly. I tried drawing a rough picture in paint, sorry cause its kinda messy.

It is a laser track lock.

fyi, also, in the usa, they are called "side winder" keys.

I was wondering .. how does one go about picking the lock that this key fits into? I've not even been able to find a diagram or much of any information about this type of lock ...

Does a simple jiggler work? It seems like it would be a bit more complex than that ..

could you perhaps direct me to the righ tlocation to find this kind of information? I cannot read the automotive section at the moment.

Or at the very least, is there a diagram of the lock itself -- I could study that and begin to decipher it's problems.

There isnt anything publically accessable on the net as far as i know, if your having problems with a lock on a car then a auto locksmith or garage is going to be your best bet.

The information on vehicle locks is like safes, they are kept out of public view so things are kept secure.
