Masterlock differences No1, No3

Postby TriannaX » 18 Jun 2006 16:52

Ok, so as recommended, I picked up a Masterlock No3, picked it open several times. It's easy now.

Now I'm curious, what's the difference between a Masterlock No3 and say a No1?

I did a search and found info on a No5, and that it is about the same as a No1 as far as internal working, with the exception of it being a bit more "heavy duty"

I couldn't find any information about the No1 though.....

All help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the fast reply! So outside they are about the same. What about inside? Does the No1 hide any security pins I should be aware of, or other anti-picking features?

No, the No.1 will have no security pins. The internal cylinders are the same in both models, as well as most of the 4 pin laminated models.

I was on the Master Lock Co. website, they mention that there is a 5 pin model of these locks, has anyone come across these versions?
