alright
my dad just bought a masterlock no.15 for our shed

any security features i need to know about that someone would know off the top of their heads? i havent even tried picking it yet, but its pretty huge looking. i was just wonderin if the size or the fact that its a number 15 have anything to do with the difficulty of picking.

thanks fellas

# 2-1/2" (64mm) wide laminated steel body for superior strength
# Hardened boron alloy shackle for superior cut resistance
# 5-pin cylinder helps prevent picking
# Dual locking levers provide extra pry resistance
# More than 9,000 key changes for greatest key integrity
# Proprietary rustproofing for longer life

If you look at more industrial padlocks on the site you will notice they say " 5 spool pin tumbler cylinder for added pick resistance" instead of the above line. For the reason I do not think there are security pins.

By doing a search on this site for the word "master" and reading each thread I found the following post by chucklz.

runnynose, I would suggest in the future you do a little research yourself. It is not hard to put "master lock padlock 15" or something into google.

as i remember...no.15 has not any security pin there.

just a regular 5 pins lock, pretty easy to pick.

good luck.
