Alternative Entry for Jammed Locks

Postby Devs » 27 Aug 2006 9:29

Sometime you encounter "Jammed" Locks. As where someone jammed junk in the lock. Foreign objects: Gum, Epoxy, Wood, Etc. I have even encountered Solder in a padlock. Hypotheticals and clearing techniques are Welcome. Fast and low or no damage methods are preffered. ( I don't know if that is an advanced question or not. Please correct me if it is. )
Remember that drilling and cutting are very slow.

The first Hypothetical:
The highschool prank
A prankster has put epoxy in all the gate locks to a school. You need to get the locks off 6 gates in 15 Min after you arrive because school must start. The Lock is a Laminated padlock but you can get your trusty bolt cutters because the posts are too close together. And you can't damage the gates. What do you do?

Call a locksmith or visit a website dealing with locksmithing and bypass techniques because this is indeed an advanced forum topic at least, and better yet meant for another site completely.
