Common uses for Harloc HR2 keys?

Postby Legion303 » 2 Sep 2006 12:27

I'd never seen one of these before this week, but what are they commonly used for? It almost looks like a beefed-up house key.

Um, maybe it is for a beefed up house lock.

Heres a website that sells a lot of the Harloc product...:

http://www.keymart.com/harloc.htm

It could be that the key fits one of their higher security products...

Harloc is actually a fairly old company, with the HR2 being the most common blank (The only blank as far as I know). A KW1 can actually be modified (by adding the warded cut at the tip) to work in place of the HR2. I see them fairly often around here, but I have yet to see any newer Harlocs. As far as I can tell, there is really nothing special about them at all.

Thanks for the responses. I have two identical HR2 keys and I had no idea what they went to, but that might help me narrow it down some.
