There are about 4 other threads on American lock on this forum. Just search for American Lock

anywho......they've got serrated on the bottom, and spools on the top. Either 5 or 6 pins. NOT a beginners lock, NOT an experianced lock, an EXPERT lock. Very difficult

I have picked 'em, and sorry to tell you, it's probably going to take longer than hours. The first time I got one open, it took me about three weeks, a couple hours a day. I've got it down to about four or five hours now. I've been trying to get good at them... probably since I joined these forums.

As far as if that particular model has serrated/spool pins? I believe it does. You should be able to look into the keyway and tell if the pins are serrated.

got those serrated pins in them

2 things to remember with american

1. the pins are short despite the size of the lock

2 .light tension is your friend and ignore the sharp lous clicks cuz thats just the serrations
