Ive took an interest in safes I'm not going to give much away but I can tell you ive bought 2 and been given 1 and from what I can see these home and petty cash safes are a joke. theres more security in a vanity case than some of these safes, ive got a mate who sells second hand safes and hes invited me to have a play , ill keep you posted if ime allowed.i know there are good combination safes but the key oprerated ones so far seem to consist of a second rate lever pack.

Most home "safes" fall into two categories.

Cash boxes and fire chests.

Each is appropriate for their purpose. The problem comes in trying to make them seem like ore than they are.

As you have discovered they don't stand up to any serious attempts to open them.
