There was some fuss some time back about people hotlinking images from another website without the site owner's permission (you're using up their bandwidth, which they likely pay for); had to do with some photos belonging to Matt Blaze that were put on here so he came over and threw a tempertantrum, I believe.

Matt was quite right in that his work had been broken up and posted eleswhere ie not complete, his images remain his copyright and he asked them to be removed hence we dont have any of his stuff on here just links,

Otherwise its a rule of site to not use hot linked images and if a mod sees one they will turn it into a link,

Was a strange thing to say on a post though just out of the blue unless its an image youve taken from matts site in which case you shouldnt be useing anyway so im sure its not that,

Strange one really lol

Oh no, I got it from Medeco's site (figured that'd be obvious from the quality and the fact that it's so new they'd be the only one's to have it); I really don't think they'd mind since it's free advertising, a lot of lockies and collectors on here and all that might see this and end up buying a few. I thought I'd better download it and put it on my photobucket site so I'm not hotlinking straight to Medeco's site, because I do think it's been mentioned somewhere that hotlinking an image to another person's site is a no-no specifically because of the bandwidth issue.

Oh well, I guess there could be copyright issues on the photo, although I kinda doubt they'd care like I said, so I changed it to a direct link just in case (come to think of it, this is a site dedicated to bypassing locks so they might not take too kindly to any attention from us regardless, so better safe than sorry).
