How in the crap am I supposed to pick this thing?! I can't even get my wrench to stay in it if I put a pick in it..if I even have room to put a pick... anyone have any ideas? one.. possibly easy.. way would be to put tension on the front and push the pins down with a needle through the holes on the side until they set.. but I think that is cheating.. I wanna go in through the keyway...

Can you put the tension wrench in the top?

Thats the only place I can thin to put it but it only goes in about 1/3 of a centimeter until it hits a pin...

I've been fiddling with this thing for quite a while... I was just messing with it and I stuck the handle of my tension wrench in and twisted.. and it opened... surely these things can't be that simple?! so I grabbed another one.. it opened just as easily... What gives?! These locks are used by a company my dad used to work for.. for things that need at least a medium security lock.. not something a wiper blade insert can open in .3 second.

Odd... very odd.... I must speak with father on this issue.. yes yes...

Normally I either use a very thin tension wrench with a short prong or I'll just try to jiggle with a mountain six. Cheap stuff, no challenge.

These are cheap locks... cheap indeed!

which suprises me... these were at one time used by an amusement company on almost all of their crane games (ya know.. the ones where ya plunk in a quarter and can control a big metal claw to pick up stuffed animals and cheap watches) I would imagine that a situation like that would need something a little more secure than this lock...

People have tried all kinds of things to break into them... I useed to hang out at the shop.. perhaps i shouldn't mention the methods they used to rip the machines off.. but they did and I'm sure if they'd known this little lock was so easy they'd have cleaned the thing out...

i was looking at the lock on one of these a few days ago at a Denny's actually... it looks like they switched to simple little camlocks now.

I've seen similar types of locks used on sliding glass door showcases...strictly a convenience lock.
