bastard! you stole my answer =)

and it's "Dallas iButton", but I don't see a ground ring. and the iButton equipment needs a recessed cradle, this seems flush with the face of the cylinder.

here's a mortised lock with an iButton reader on top

Dallas ibutton? No, its just a dummy cylinder! Gordon Airporte was right in saying there is no key, and n2oah is correct because of course, its just a dummy cylinder. Geez guys, I thought the name gave it away. It is most certainly the highest security lock available if there isn't even a single way to open it!

We moved into a new office a few years ago where someone had previously installed a dummy mortise cylinder on the outside of a locking door. :? Someone eventually ended up closing the door while the lever set was locked... fortunately for us, the original installer had also forgotten to install the set screw -- so we were simply able to unscrew the dummy and deal with the problem from there.

Could you please post a photo with better focus? You can take the photo from further away (with a flash) or if your camera has a macro setting, use that.

Imagine a blank brass disk :-)
Or are some dummy cylinders more interesting than others? Maybe put an LED in there...

Yes greyman I will take a better picture. Let me clean the lock up a bit first. I'm sorry about the picture quality.
