hurd made locks for ford right through the 60's, that keyway is an old ford keyway. I knew that they made some padlocks, but I wonder where they sold them, perhaps the ford motor company used them all.
Old locks are fun, and sometimes you can find them with certain flaws that are not obvious, that make them unique. I had one once that had a key cut low at the tip and higher at each position so that sometimes if you wanted to, you could pull the key out without it being locked, the plug would be turned just a bit and the lock was already picked. This makes for some interesting tricks.
Wake up and smell the Kafka!!!
