Master Lock 534 (534KADPF)

Postby ShanePicklefish » 3 Feb 2008 3:18

I'm a bit of a noob at lock picking, so I went out tonight and bought a master lock with a security pin (well I assumed it had some) I was trying for 532, but they didn't have one.

I found NO info on google or even the master lock site. It looks very similar to the 532. I managed to pick it, This lock has NO security pins :(

I spent about 20 minutes trying to get the c-ring off the lock, with no lock... Any advice getting this pos off?

Once I get it off I will post pictures.

11$ for a no security pin lock :( bah.

Just a bit of advice (as you said you are a bit of a newb) when buying padlocks you can usually see the key through the packaging... you should probably look for locks with a bit more variation in cut depths than that one (the cuts are all very close to each other in depth making it too easy to pick).

Also, I have trouble pushing the pins down all the way when they are cut that low so it's still good practice :)
