When you feel you've set all the pins but the lock wont open, try letting off the tension a lil bit to allow a couple of pins to drop back down and then try picking it again. Or vary the tension, try light pressure the first try, then medium the next and so on. Ive found almost all the time that using different amount of tension can be the answer.
As for the quaility of kwiksets...well they have finnaly come out with a higher security locks with spool pins so who knows, maybe they will come out with something a lil more interesting for us to play with in the near future thanks to ppl like us. (By the way that new spool pin kwikset lock was very easy to open)
