Yes, I HIGHLY recommend you PICK your way out of handcuffs if you get arrested. Police LOVE it when a detained/arrested person picks their way out of handcuffs. That means one thing. Attempted flight/escape, and allows the police to use "reasonable force" to restrain the subject. And trust me, reasonable force means "attitude adjustment". You don't want that. They can and will beat your a$$, and will be allowed to also.

yeah, they're nice because, generally, in small towns, most people don't do stupid crap like picking their cuffs and running. which probably means that they're hankerin' for a good beat down.

That kid is going to be in for a rude awakening one of these days. I'd love to hear how that story works out, but I'm afraid we'll have to do without because it looks like ThousandThugs has been banned from the site.
