Hey everyone, Ive got a Schlage industrial/commercial high security door lock. Ive spent along time trying to pick it and i cant get it. Ive got a few more of the same kind of lock that i would be willing to mail to someone if they could show me any tips on it.

Given your number of posts (2), I'm going to guess you're new at lock picking. I'd recommend starting with something a bit simpler and working your way up to a Schlage.

At the very least, try removing three of the five pins from the schlage lock and gradually add them back in as you improve.

schlage

shlage has some interesting cylinders, you need to determine the pin count first. second, you need to look at the key and tell us if it has any interesting features on the sides of the key that are different from standard key features? there are two types of schlage that have special pins, the everest and the primus, one of them is easily pickable, the primus is not however. it has a sidebar and finger pins along the lower side of the keyway Also, the reason for the pin count is to determine if you have a five pin or six pin lock, the pin count can be guessed from the key but every cut on the key does not necessarily have pins in its collumns in the lock, so if its not a new lock, the only pin count that counts is the one done on the lock, not the key.

Schlage commercial locks are pinned for 6 but come from the factory with only 5. Look at your key, does it say SC1, SC4, or SC20?
