What type of lock are these with huge holes?

Hey Lock Picking 101, thanks for setting up this forum and helping others learn.

Any idea what type of LOCK these are? (Type 1 and 2)... I understand you probably can't tell exactly what model, ect. but if you can at least take a guess as to what KIND of lock it is to get an idea of the tools that would be needed to get started?

P.S. I got my first order from LockPickShop and these guys are great!

Any chance of getting better pictures? I can barely tell those are locks, let alone what kind...and no, that's not an exaggeration.

Do you have a "Macro" setting on your camera? It's very difficult to tell what's going on there.

Even if we can't see it very close up, in focus we might be able to give you an idea. Where did you get the lock? Is it mounted to something?

Yes, it's from some vending that I'm guessing is 30-40 years old?? that I picked up at a yard sale but can't get open!!

It was hard to get some pictures but I think these ones will help! You guys are the best.

Looks abloy style, you're not getting it open. Disc detainer lock. Not a beginner's pick, not even a talented amateur's pick.

Very likely to be a disc detainer, requires a totally different approach than wafer/pin-tumblers.
