It is a lever lock. You should probably have read something about it before you tried to pick it. You can impression a key for it. The wards of the lock should rub off the soot/marker and then you can cut away those parts so it works. There is a sticky around here somewhere about impressioning lever locks, but I am too lazy to look for it for you.
I just wanted a key from the company that matched the lock, but no luck yet. The search continues.
