Sizes of tubular locks

I may be missing something here, but are there different sizes of tubular locks? I notice that many 7-pin tubular locks are labeled either 1 1/8" or 7/8". Is this referring to something unimportant or are they actually different sized openings? Also, if they are different, what size is the Southord pick made to fit into?

You might find a few exceptions here and there, but ALMOST all cam locks are the same diameter. The numbers you are referring to are the overall length from the face of the lock to the beginning of the tail piece.
The pick you mentioned will fit the common ones.

What you are refering to is actually the length of the lock. 7/8" and 1-1/8" are the most popular lengths. They will fit the same opening as standard cam locks. But to answer your question, yes, there are different diameters of tubular locks and keys - undersize, standard, and oversize, each taking a certain sized mounting hole. Oh, there is also a micro sized tubular lock!

I also found a tubular bike lock with a smaller key hole. My pick diameter is too big to fit in.

I'd love to see a tubular lock with a 1 and 1/8" keyway diameter. I bet the keys for those would look pretty cool.
