Southord MPXS-14
And a couple of master locks, brinks, I can pick the masters but no brinks, possiblly security pins in them

What other tools do I need?

Shim to dissemble a pin tumbler lock?
plug follower?
I could make but Im not really good at making anything :/
Anything els thats a must for dissembling the lock?
Or anything at all?
BTW im planning on ordering this lock http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/sto ... t+deadbolt

You don't need much else but the pick set, especially if you are going after Kwikset. They use a simple pop-off pin chamber top that is easy to remove with just your hand or, when in need, your tension wrench. A plug follower is handy, but not completely necessary. I *still* don't own any, and I disassemble high security cylinders on a somewhat regular basis. You can repin closed chamber locks with just a tension wrench, but of course the followers are helpful.

Some things you might find immediately helpful for many locks are:

1. Tweezers, for working with pins and springs

2. Cloth rags or a working tray, for working with locks in general, helpful in catching pieces from falling on the floor and being lost forever.

3. Screwdriver/allen wrench/plyer set, allen wrenches only if you want to work with locks that use the screwed up pin chamber stops, such as Medeco. Screwdrivers are in general very useful/necessary for disassembly. A small pair of plyers is also handy.

4. A mini-vise, this has served me well for tool making and holding cylinders. They also sell plastic plug holders, but they are expensive IMO.

that was the best advice i got when i started picking. single cylinder is like 9 bucks and double is 12.... so for a few dollars u get 2 locks to mess with.

Yes I ordered the double cylinder for $16

What can I use for a shim so all the pins to fly out when it comes time to remove the plug?

If your Kwikset is like most of them, then the top of the bible will be capped off by a metal clip that's pretty easily removed. From there you can just disassemble the lock core from the top downwards, no need to remove the plug, no need to shim anything.
