practice deadbolt

Postby laf » 21 Feb 2009 0:42

I have now a couple of padlocks that I can open. I would like to have a schlage or kwikset deadbolt that comes with spare security pins so I can mix some of them with normal pins. For example a plug that has 2 spool and 3 normal pins.

Is there a small package (lock with other pins) that you guys recomend me?

thanks

If you're still working on finding the binding pins, then you may want to wait on playing with security pins. Go for a cheap KwikSet and start from there.

play around first with KwikSet and schlage, but let me tell you something
i round into somes SCHLAGE 6 PIN deadbolt and they are hell to pick open
the tolerence is really high, while i round into similar SCHLAGE

When you get to the spot where you feel comfortable trying a dead bolt. I would suggest a Schlage deadbolt. I bought one and it came with 4 spools and 1 normal pin. Also if you go to a hardware store, you can buy small repin kits that come with a set of keys, some new bottom pins (to match the keys), and a plug follower.
