Huh? Got a link?

It was taken down due to EVVA threatening a lawsuit! Luckily, I saved the pictures to my HD.

I just saw a demonstration that Protecs are quite vulnerable to drilling with a special bit.

Well, this could be easily defeated with a hardened rotative pellet in front of the lock. You try do drill it, it just turns.

Muel cylinders sold in France do have this protection, and it is not very complicated to implement. In fact, the whole outer casing is rotative, so there is no way to break it by seizing the cylinder with tools and then twisting with a big lever.

Anybody tried to pick a Muel lock? In theory it should be feasible, but in addition to the false notches the springs are very, very strong, which makes it very difficult to feel any feedback when operating the levers.

I don't know of any reports of picking Muel, but then I don't live in France. Maybe Jimmie would know? I would think there is a decoder for it, but I don't know for sure. You are right about the strong spring - it is the best defence against picking.
