Codes for Best ic padlock

Im not looking for imediate answer as i will try to impression this lock but a customer brought me a Best padlock with i/c and code on it.. I cant find any codes for it using instacode...am i just missing something or does BEST not list their codes..hmm..Im in a small area and dont come across best lock often...but i should have it done hopefully before i get an answer here..Further info i can pm. Thanks for help guys

I have never seen a key code on a BEST IC core. Normally they are stamped with cylinder numbers identifying the cylinder and system the core came from.

I've never seen a keycode stamped on any lock housing. I have seen numbers/letters stamped on the face (keyway) of best locks for keyway control tracking, and so the user knows which key to use where. (like a access key for a gate, another for a building, another for an office, etc.

The ones I have come across normally have 3 or 4 letters/numbers... the more to the "left" is higher key access, as in master.

so,

(seen on different locks)
A123
A135
A139
A1
A

(you have key)

A123 - can only open the first lock
A13 - Can only open the second and third lock
A - can open ANY lock (master)
A1 can open any but last lock (sub master)

You won't find any Best codes in any code retrieval software. Best cores are either face stamped or side stamped. The keys are blind coded. Neither number means anything unless you have the key system paperwork.

It has letters bl then four letters after stamped on the face of the core... Im gonna hold on to it and give him a call..He said it is one off his shed ..Doesnt sound quite right..why would there be numbers on it if it supossed his only one..If he dont have a good answer ill tell him to come pick it up..LOL wich i doubt he will..

oh...and always thanks for the help..I sure dont have 20 years of experience...so its nice to be able to come here and ask questions...Thanks again for the replys..oh...and i took a picture and it said file to large..which i guess i can lower the quality but i guess the picture dosent realy matter...seems you guys have seen it all pretty much.
