According to TOOOL, there are many lock manufacturers which make bump-proof cylinders. Certain models made by GEGE, Anker, Kaba, M&C, Ikon, Medeco, and EVVA for example. Just repeating what I heard.
You are both right...anything that is not pin-based is, by definition, bump-proof. Many pin-based locks are also OK, but that is a small percentage of the total. Medeco IS bumpable, btw. dg

I was refering to the lock, not the cylinder. Yale cylinders are pretty simple to pick, but I don't see anyone with criminal intent doing that. I was refering more to the fact that the lock case can be bypassed *very* easily. I can't go into more detail because bypass is not for discussion in the open forum, but suffice to say I open probably 4-6 of those on a typical week, and they're usually open in less time than it would take to unpack your picks...
Unless the snib drops, which I have to deal with a couple of times a week. When that happens you usually have to destroy the lock and cylinder to open the lock.
In short, that lock sucks, and if it's the only lock securing your front door you won't be insured in the event you get burgled. Get a 5-lever deadlock fitted, or get a BS rated nightlatch like the Era High security or the Yale PBS.

I'm not sure if that's the right question. Think of Medeco cam locks. Cheers, mh

well I didn't get that joke, but Medeco cam locks are not bumpable, not even after a huge number of tries with several different specially cut keys like other Medeco locks might be.
