Lock ID, Pick Challenge

Postby KokomoLock » 1 May 2009 22:33

Need help id'ing this lock. My guess is a US lock dealer/restricted keyway. I have not picked it yet, not good enough. If anyone thinks they are up to the challenge let me know, if too many want it I guess the Mods can choose who they feel are up to the challenge. First pin is smaller in diameter, and this is the first spool bottom pin I have ever seen.

Those are a pita. I faced down one of those in a job where the client (law enforcement) was absolutely insistent on it not being drilled. First time I'd seen one, with no research, it was a nice couple billable hours.

I have seen similiar keyways, notice the round look at the top of the keyway broaching, that indicates the little pin that you show the hole for in the cylinder,
some of these cylinders have the core sticking out like the branded best/peaks cylinder, some are totally unmarked. thats all I know about who makes them, If you are familiar with how to handle the pin at the little loop top of the keyway, they will pick like any other lock.
Wake up and smell the Kafka!!!
