Mul-T-Lock Gutted

Well, now that I've picked it and had a key made for it, I decided to gut the lock and take a look at the insides. It has 3 mushroom drivers and one plain driver. Two of the key pins are beveled and two are not. Also under the front pin chamber there is this spring loaded thingy (Interactive Pin?)

Yeah, it's interactive. Depends what sort. Datagrams paper when it's published has all the info you could want about the differn't floating elements in interactive keys.

Here's one of my MTL's. You got the same pins as mine. I had some large spool type pins in the other ones of these.

Thats a very nice cutaway! I now know why my pins hung when I picked them. It was that reverse mushroom shape of the key pins getting trapped at the shearline. Pretty ingenious idea and a pain in the butt to pick. Much harder to defeat for me than the mushrooms. I'll post a picture of the key when I get home from work.
