Yeah I know the feeling with this sucker  If your's has a cam on the back you have to pound out the little roll of metal holding it in. Once you do that, you have to aline all the sliders to the middle of the keyway while keeping pressure on the back so they don't slide out of place and so you can feel when the are positioned in the way required. Then everything should slider right out. I have a page on this, you should check it out :P

To expand on the above post:

1. If applicable, remove the roll of metal from the cam of the lock.
2. Remove the circlip
3. Insert and remove the key, try to hold the cylinder so that the keyway is parallel to the ground, this will help keep sliders in the center
3. With key REMOVED, push the back of the plug and the plug should come out.

Make sure to keep the keyway/plug parallel to the ground as you withdraw the plug otherwise the sliders will fall out. They're a serious pain in the ass to put back in correctly.

The trick is getting the wafers away from the shear line and removing the key. After that it is a piece of cake as long as you don't drop the sliders!

a small addition, the roll of spring steel, oddly enough,is called a "roll pin"
there are several methods of removal, but i have had the most success using sheet metal screws to extract the roll pin.
if it cannot be drift punched out...
just a tidbit that may help at some point....
good luck with your EVVA... =)

A quick search would have returned a lot of results for this instead of creating a new thread.

This method doesn't work all the time, as was discussed in depth in the other 3KS thread. You have to manually manipulate the sliders to be dead center in the keyway whilst it's horizontal to extract.

We use a special key that has a groove in the middle. This brings all the sliders up to the correct height , to create a shearline. Without the sliders , there is only a clip or 2 screws (rim lock) holding the core in place.

Here is a pic showing the key.
This can be made using a dremel.
