Was wondering if anyone might know what the initials "OFM" stand for on the back of this lock. Iv looked all over the web and it seems this lock comes in a million different varieties that say several different things on the back of them. The ones I came across have all serrated pins and a couple of serrated spools and the logo on the front looks different from any of the ones that iv seen so far.

Just curious if theirs different levels of this lock and if what is stamped on the back (OFM) means anything? I have seen others that have other initials stamped on the back but can't find out what those mean either.

Where I am there are alot of these locks... They all have different numbers and letters on the back, except this one box that was accidentally ordered keyed alike...

So, I assume it is the bitting of the lock but you wont be able to descipher the code unless you work for the American company...

It is their manufacturing code.

You can use it to determin when the lock was made.

I found the info in this thread.

Ahhh that's nifty. It seems mine were made in Dec 92. Thanks for pointing me at that post.
